Lenny Kravitz joins forces with UN Human Rights to release new single “Here To Love”

22 November 2019

In advance of Human Rights Day (Dec 10), Lenny Kravitz has joined forces with the UN Human Rights Office to release his single “Here To Love”.

“Here To Love” has been chosen as the theme song of the Office’s #FightRacism campaign throughout 2020 and beyond. The song’s message of shared humanity will be used to help combat the global spread of hate speech and racism, and emphasize respect for human rights.

“Today xenophobia, hate speech and intolerance are on the rise. So, let’s work together to eliminate the messages of hatred” – Lenny Kravitz

Through this collaboration with UN Human Rights, Lenny will lend his voice and support to fight racism, and stand up for the human rights of every person. In his 2020 “Here to love” world tour and other engagements, he will promote the message of anti-racism, tolerance, diversity and peace in all nations and among all communities.

#FightRacism was first launched on 21 March in 2009 to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. From now on, the campaign will run on a year-long basis, as part of UN Human Rights commitment to end intolerance, xenophobia & discrimination of every kind.

The #FightRacism campaign calls on each and every one of us to stand up against racial prejudice, hate speech and all forms of bigotry. It stresses that every individual has the power to make a difference by joining and supporting others, in defence of diverse, compassionate societies.

“I encourage everyone to join me in lending our voices to fight racism and to stand up for the human rights of every person. Let’s promote tolerance, inclusion, and respect for diversity in all nations and among all communities” said Kravitz in his video message.
